Michael La’Shane Lambright

Michael La’Shane Lambright, 44, of Sweeny passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017. He was born on July 30, 1972 in Baytown, Texas to Raydean Lambright and Joyce Russom.

He graduated from Navasota High School with the Class of 1990. Obtained his Associates Degrees in Biblical and Theological Studies and completed the academics required to become a Licensed Vocational Nurse. He was an active member of the Sweeny Volunteer Fire Department and devoted Committee member of the Brazoria County Fair Association.

His family was his greatest achievement and success story. He loved spending time with his kids, teaching them how to show and care for livestock. He was always the most proud “Livestock Show Dad” in the arena.  He spent 9 years selflessly volunteering as a Fire Fighter putting his own life on the line to save the lives of others.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his loving and devoted wife of 13 years, Kathy Lambright of Sweeny; sons, Dahlton Lambright and Blain Lambright both of Sweeny; daughters, Tayler Kucera and Gracie Lambright both of Sweeny and Kerstie Lambright of Cleveland; father, Raydean Lambright and wife Janie; mother, Joyce Russom; sisters, Merrellene Middleton and husband Nick of London, England and Chari Armstrong of West Virginia; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roy and Sherry Jones of Richmond; sister-in-law, Kristi McIntire and husband Sean of Lake Jackson, host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Jerrami Huitt, Clint Snipe, Joshua Smith, Blake Marcum, James Christian, Chandler Pierce and Matthew Deleon.

Family will receive friends on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 402 N. Main St., Sweeny, TX.  Funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Mike Hammond officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in memory of Michael Lambright to Sweeny Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 488, Sweeny, TX 77480.
