Maya Rivera, Ray Shawn “Baby Ray” Hudson, Jr. and Ray Shawn Hudson, Sr.

Maya Victoria Rivera, 24, was born January 30, 1994 in Angleton, TX to Frances and Benigno Rivera.  She left her earthly life behind to be joined with her heavenly father on or about June 11, 2018.  Maya is survived by her parents, Benigno and Frances Rivera; her brothers, Cornelio Zambada and Ezekiel R. (Christian) Rivera and sister, Sara S. Rivera. 

Maya is also survived by her grandparents, Solomon and Alice Zambada; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Maya attended Angleton ISD from Pre-K to the 12th grade. She graduated from Angleton High School in June 2012.  She was a member of Life Foursquare Church in Angleton.  She attended numerous church camp sites, such as Youth for the Nation and Dry Gulch Church Camp.  Maya attended Brazosport College where she received her degree in Massage Therapy and became a licensed Massage Therapist on October 22, 2015.  Her passion was massage therapy. She loved helping people by massage therapy while also providing spiritual healing.  Maya was last employed at the Dow Wellness Center in Lake Jackson. She also worked at Healing Insparations, Coburn Chiropractic and Bare Skin Waxing and Spa in Angleton.  She loved caring for horses and participating in weekend trail rides with Ray Shawn, Sr. and his family along with Baby Ray. Baby Ray was her only child who tragically lost his life the same day.

Ray Shawn Hudson, Jr., better known as Baby Ray, was born on June 11, 2013 in Houston, TX to Maya Victoria Rivera and Ray Shawn Hudson, Sr. Baby Ray left his earthly life behind to be joined with his heavenly father on or about June 11, 2018. He lived a joyous and fun filled life of 5 years.  Baby Ray attended Kingdom Class Academy Day Care and Tiny Treasures Day Care, both in Angleton.  He recently completed Pre-K classes at the Early Childhood Center in Angleton and was set to begin Kindergarten in August.  Baby Ray had a very infectious smile and laughter.  He was loved by so many people.  He loved to play all types of sports and was recently playing soccer. He was considered the MVP of his small soccer team.  He loved going on trail rides with his mother and father was a showing a great interest in horses and country style living.  He loved helping others and working a long side his father, Ray Shawn Hudson, Sr.  He truly loved and was loved by both his mother and father and by so many other people whose lives that he touched.

Ray Shawn Hudson, Sr. was born on March 3, 1990 to Johana Bonilla and Chawn Ray Hudson, Sr. He was a charter member of Fresno Worship Center and used to travel with his evangelist grandmother, Mary Ann Scott all over Texas.  He enjoyed doing little league sports, caring for horses and helping his family any way he could.

Ray Shawn Hudson, Sr. is survived by his parents; grandparents, Evelyn & Kenneth Murray and Mary Ann Scott; siblings, aunts and uncles, and numerous relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services for Maya Rivera, Baby Ray and Ray Shawn, Sr. will be Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Life Foursquare Church, 501 Karankawa St, Angleton, TX 77515.

A Celebration dinner at the K.C. Hall, 3213 East Hwy 35, Angleton will be at 4:00 p.m.
