 Martha Lee Helms passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Lake Jackson Healthcare in Lake Jackson where she became a resident September 2012.  She was born on July 15, 1926 in Brazoria, Texas (Hinkle Ferry Community) to Aaron and Eliza Helms.

 She accepted Christ at an early age. She was a retired beautician, worked for Frank and Max Beauty Salon and David’s Hair Design in Houston, Texas.

She was married to Rupert Bell, Sr. in 1942. To this union 2 children were born; son, Rupert Bell, Jr. who preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, Aaron and Eliza Helms; brothers, Shelton Helms and Aaron Helms, Jr. and sister, Mable Helms Brown.

She is survived by her daughter, Sofornia Lee Bell Mack of Brazoria, 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, best friend, Nancy Smith, other relatives and friends.
