Marshal Herbert Finley, Sr.

Marshal H. Finley, Sr., 80, of Sweeny passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 27, 1938 in Brazoria, TX to Johnson and Lizzie Finley.

 He was a member of Brazoria First Assembly of God Church. He graduated from Sweeny High School with the Class of 1957. He was the proud owner of Finley Dirt Service. His hobbies were raising cows, fishing and hunting. His greatest joy was spending quality time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

 He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Lawrence Finley and sister, Ethel Finley Graham.

 He leaves to cherish his precious and loving memories; his loving and dedicated wife of 57 years, Sally Finley of Sweeny; sons, Mitchell Finley, Marshal Finley, Jr. and wife Lisa and Tommy Finley and wife Sheri all of Sweeny; daughter, Elizabeth Vincent and husband Dallas of Richwood; sister, Vivian Ross of Scott, LA; brothers, Johnny Finley and wife Charlene, Norman Finley and wife Brenda both of Sweeny and Kenneth Finley and wife Joyce of Brazoria; grandchildren, Danica Johnson and husband Justin, Paige Gilbert and husband Andy, Brandon Finley, Kelton Finley, Hailee Finley, Kadin Finley, Konner Finley and Logan Vincent; great grandchildren, Reagan Johnson and Luke Johnson, other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Brandon Finley, Kelton Finley, Logan Vincent, Kadin Finley, Konner Finley and Marvin Graham, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Hood, Bruce Williams, Horace Buchanan, P.J. Nelson, John Ed Marsh, D.C. Long, Ralph Cole, Bryan Steves, Robert Black and Raul Lopez.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brazoria First Assembly of God Church in Brazoria.

Funeral service will be Friday, April 26, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Brazoria First Assembly of God Church in Brazoria with Bro. B.F. Flowers officiating. Burial will follow at Sweeny Cemetery in Sweeny, TX.
