LaTesha Danyell (McKnight) Pinkney

Funeral services for LaTesha McKnight Pinkney, 40, of Sweeny will be Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Fifth Street Church of Christ, 501 Elm Street, Sweeny, TX with Bro. John C. Whitley eulogizing and Bro. Willie Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Rainbow Cemetery in Sweeny, TX.

She passed away on Friday, October 13, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was a member of Third Street Church of Christ. She enjoyed watching tv and spending time with her family and friends.  She attended Sweeny High School and was captain of cheerleading squad. She was a member of NHS. She was a member of   Willing Workers and was crowned Queen in 1995.

She was preceded in death by her mother; Susie Lemon McKnight; grandmother, Frankie Lemon; grandfather, Thomas “Tippy” Lemon; grandparents, Juanita and George McKnight.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories; devoted father, George Henry McKnight, Jr., Sweeny; son, Dannon McKnight, Sweeny; daughter, Shannon Pinkney Sweeny; sisters, LaChandra McKnight, Whitney McKnight and Haylee McKnight all of Sweeny; best friends, Amy Sewel, Kristina Hanks and Amber Johnson all of Sweeny and a host of other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Dale Lemon, Alfred Lemon, Michael Lemon, Floyd Ray Bess, Bernard Flores and George “Boya” Lemon.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dannon McKnight, Payton McKnight, Ben Evans III and Braxton Evans.

Visitation will be Monday, October 16, 2017 at Third Street Church of Christ, 402 W. 3rd Street, Sweeny from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. There will be viewing at the Fifth Street Church of Christ on the day of service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. There will be no viewing afterward.
