Howard Lewell Jordan, 60, of Sweeny, TX passed away Friday, May 3, 2019. He was born on August 24, 1958.
Howard was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Phillip and Essie Manshack Paddie of Willis, TX, and paternal grandparents, Thomas Pinkney and Addie Bell Jordan of Spurger, TX.
Howard is survived by his parents, Henry Kirby and Ruby Paddie Jordan of Brazoria, two fur babies and cooking partners, Daisy and Lucy, brothers and their wives: Garland (Carol) Jordan of Sweeny, Tx, Henry Allen (Katherine) Jordan of Brazoria, John David (Tina) Jordan of Brazoria, sister – Anita K Pullon (Lewis) of Richwood. He is also survived by nephews and nieces, Justin (Allysa) Jordan, Josh Jordan, Tim (Nicole) Jordan, Joe Jordan, Mary Henneberg and husband Tyler, Henry Allen Jordan, Jr., Robert, Patrick, and Christopher Pullon, Garrett Toon, Kolten and Brittney Crouch. He was also survived by 9 great nephews and nieces. One Maternal Aunt Gloria Jean (Odell) Graham of Jacksonville, NC; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Howard worked for many years as a jail Sergeant with the Brazoria county Sheriff’s Office. He also worked with the Matagorda County Sheriff’s Office. His last years was working construction for Zachry until his health declined. He made many friends during the years but had one special friend and co-worker, Jerry Hall.
Howard was a registered member of the Choctaw-Apache Tribe of Ebarb in Zwolle, Louisiana. Howard was a member of the Patriot Guards Motorcycle Riders, Houston Branch, was a member of Military Moms and Wives, and Shriners Childrens Network. He loved to volunteer to help those who were in need. In his last years, he took up wood working and donated his crafts to help fundraisers. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone in need. Every year, he participated in Wreaths across America for Veterans Day and Christmas holiday.
Many thanks to the wonderful team of Heart doctors and staff at Jennie Sealy Hospital for their wonderful care the many times he was there this past year.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 2 o’clock PM at First Baptist Church in Brazoria, Texas, officiated by Pastor Greg Smith. Family will receive friends 1 o’clock PM until service time.
