Hector Mario Hernandez, 55, of Brazoria passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018 at St. Luke Hospital in Houston, TX surrounded by his loving family.  He was born October 25, 1962 in San Antonio, Chihuahua, Mexico to Filimon and Adelaida Hernandez.

He was a hardworking man who loved ranching and farming. He spent many days riding horses and taking care of his farm animals.  He was a happy person who enjoyed spending time with his family, singing and dancing.

He is preceded in death by his father, Filimon Hernandez.

Hector is survived by his wife, Maria Hernandez, Brazoria; mother, Adelaida Hernandez, Presidio, TX; daughters, Christina Hernandez (Bartolo Tamayo), Eva Annabel Hernandez-Briseno (Ismael), both of Lake Jackson; step sons, Rusvel Cavazos, Jose Cavazos, both of Brazoria; brothers, Martin Hernandez (Alma) Odessa, TX, Jesus Hernandez (Grizelda), Midland, TX, Juan O. Hernandez (Arcenia), Presidio, TX; sisters, Librada Guevara (Gustavo), Isela Escobar (Jose Luis), both of Brazoria; 3 grandchildren, Daliyah Tamayo, Izzabella A. Briseno and Selene Briseno and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Bartolo, Eric, Martin, Tavin, Alonso, Hugo, Luis, Arisdel and Ivis.

Funeral Mass will be Monday, January 15, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria.  Burial will follow at Brazoria Cemetery in Brazoria, TX. 

Visitation will be Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria.
