He joined the United States Army Forces and served in the Army for two terms.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Abraham McBeth, Sr.; brother, Rev. Abraham McBeth, Jr., nephew, Daryl Caldwell; grandparents, William and Bertha Jones, George and Amelia McBeth.

George leaves to cherish his memories; his loving mother, Dessie Ree McBeth; sisters, Carolyn Simple (Kenneth) of Angleton, Odella Caldwell of Brazoria and Ella Johnson (Samuel) of Cypress, 3 nephews, 2 nieces, great nephews, nieces, aunts, other family members and friends.
