George F. Martinez

George F. Martinez, 75, of Sweeny passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at CHI St. Luke's Health–Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston, TX surrounded by his loving family.  He was born April 26, 1942 in Guadalajara, Mexico to Florentino and Reyna Garza Martinez.

George was an Industrial Painter who loved to work with his hands.  He enjoyed working on lawn mowers, cars and fixing things.  He spent many days dancing with the love of life, his wife Laura.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Laura Martinez of Sweeny; best friend, Wayne French of West Columbia; children; 1 brother, 2 sisters, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

His family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria.
