Frances Marie (Oliver) Williams

Funeral services for Frances Oliver Williams, 92, of Cedar Lake will be Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Greater Mount Zion Church in Brazoria with Elder Roland K. Hendricks officiating and Pastor L.C. Dews eulogizing. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery in Brazoria, Texas.

She passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 in Cedar Lake, TX.

She was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church where she was the musician for over 40 years before retiring. She also played for other churches in the area. She was a Notary for the State of Texas.   She was a member of the Gospel Coalition and Matagorda County Poll Watcher. She also belonged to Matagorda and Brazoria County Cancer Society.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Isham Williams, Sr.; children, Dwight Williams, Robert Eugene Williams, Michael Williams and Isham Williams, Jr.; mother; Rebecca Gee; father, Elretta Oliver; brothers, Roosevelt Lemon and Robert Mack; sisters, Delores Austin, Sadie Webb, Quintanna Allineice, Ruby Petteway, Roxie O’Neal and Camilla Oliver Brown.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories; sons, Kerwin Lee Williams, Brazoria and Everette Lionell Williams (Shameka), Houston; daughters, Betty Oliver-Holmes, Houston, Karen Janiece Polk, Bay City and Bernadette Bryant, Cedar Lake; daughter-in-laws; Doris Williams and Roni Williams both of Houston; best friends, Marie Woodard and Evelyn Austin both of Cedar Lake; 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Eric D’Artagnan Moffett, Kelvin Wade Bryant, Isham Doron Williams, Dwight Nathaniel Williams, Devonte “Troy” Allen, Everette Lionell Williams, Jr. and Jamal Williams.

Visitation will be Friday, September 29, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria. There will be viewing at the church on the day of the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. There will be no viewing afterward.
