Funeral services for Floyd Barrett Cox, Jr., 59, of Houston, formerly of Clute, will be Friday, October 26, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at True Honor Baptist Church in Clute with Pastor Donzell Archie, officiating. Burial will follow at Gulf Coast Cemetery in Clute, Texas.

Floyd passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at UTMB Health Angleton Danbury Campus in Angleton, Texas.

His passions were fishing and cooking.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd B. Cox, Sr. and Audrey Good Thompson; sister, Venita L. David.

Floyd leaves to cherish his loving memories; loving and devoted wife of 15 years, Pauline Washington Cox, Houston; sons, Barrion Oliver and Alfred Cox (Lisa) both of Lake Jackson, Floyd B. Cox, III, Brazoria, Barrington Cox, Houston; daughter, Lauren Fields, Houston; sisters, Jacqueline Cox, Barbara J. Bradshaw (Tom), Carolyn J. Cox,  Mary Kathryn Cox, Donna J. Barnes (Don); brother, Daniel Thomas, brother-in-law, Laurence David; grandchildren, Robert Ledesma, Ilijah Cox, Floyd Cox IV,  Florissa Cox, Mordecai Cox and Makyel Cox and a host of nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Anthony Lynch, Dwight Dotson, Larry Washington, Sr., Frank Hudson, Sedrick Hanks, Craig White, Corey Frederick and Robbie White.

There will be viewing at the church on the day of the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. There will be no viewing afterward.
