Funeral services for Edward Tyson, 63, of Cedar Lake will be Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Christian Church with Pastor Kenneth W. Bree, Sr., eulogist and Rev. Andrew Floyd, presiding. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Cedar Lake, Texas.
He passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Kindred Hospital in Houston, Texas.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, washing his vehicles, mowing and caring for his lawn, watching his favorites TV shows and listening to music and attending Sunday School at Bethlehem Christian Church. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories, loving and devoted wife, Lucy LaVern Tyson; brothers, Walter Tyson, James Tyson and Joe H. Tyson; sister, Gloria Whetsone (Walter); devoted mother-in-law, Lydia Dailey; brothers-in-law, Kennedy Dailey, Franklin Dailey, John Dailey, Sr., Martin Dailey, Phelp Brown and Alan Dailey (Quetondra); special sisters-in-law, Robbie Horton (Henry) and Pastor Latoya Dailey and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Benjamin Brown, Eric Brown, Corbin Dailey, John Dailey, Jr., Kendrick Dailey, Quincy Dailey, Jerkeith Horton, Jerrick Horton and Leslie Glass-Thomas.
Honorary pallbearers will be brothers, brothers-in-law, uncles-in-law, Arkeith Brown, Jerome Brown, March Brown, Rondray Brown, Roy Brown, Sr., Terrence Brown, Sr., Antonio Lara, Sergio San Miguel, Steven San Miguel, Alvin Samuel and Michael Townsend.
Visitation will be Friday, March 23, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria. There will be viewing at the church on the day of the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. There will be no viewing afterward.
