Funeral services for Cynthia Bess, 54, of Brazoria will be Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Magnolia Bible Church in Brazoria with Pastor Rooney Times officiating.

She passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018 at Sweeny Community Hospital in Sweeny, TX.

She loved fishing, cooking and barbecuing. Her greatest joy was spending time with her beloved children and family. She also loved watching wrestling on television.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edgar Bivens; brothers, Ronald Bivens and Donald Bivens.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories; mother, Christeen Bivens, Brazoria; son, Gregory Lemon, San Antonio; daughter, LaShawnda Lemon (Tolulope Sotuminu), Houston; brothers, Edgar Bess and Spencer Bivens (Carolyn) both of Brazoria and Reginald Bivens (Amber), Angleton; sisters, Barbara Clay (Robert), Richwood and Jeanetta Ellis (Dwight), Freeport and other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Clarence Holmes, Gregory Lemon, Reginald Bivens, Spencer Bivens, Edgar Bess and Dwight Ellis.

Visitation will be Friday, December 14, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria. There will be viewing at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. There will be no viewing afterwards.
