Charlett Messer, 70, of Angleton passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.  She was born October 16, 1947 in Servilla, TN to Samuel and Lorine Freeman.

Charlett enjoyed cooking, going to garage sales and shopping.

She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Freeman and brothers, Charles and Melvin Freeman.

She is survived by her husband, Adam R. Messer of Angleton; mother, Lorine Freeman of Brooksville, FL; daughter, Deloris Nunalee and husband Virgil of Angleton; brothers, Roy Freeman of Searcy, AK, Clayton Freeman of Cummings, GA, Dewayne Freeman and wife, Phyllis of Ocoee, TN and David Freeman and wife Lisa of Lakeland, FL sisters, Josephine Swanger and husband, Charles, and Cathy Bussell, all of Brooksville, FL and Christine Messick of Dade City, FL and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be family and friends.

Funeral services will be Monday, January 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Dixon Funeral Home, 2025 E. Mulberry in Angleton.  Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Burial will follow at the Angleton Cemetery in Angleton, TX.
