Bernice Mae (Hrachovy) Ondreas

Bernice Mae Ondreas, 82, of Brazoria passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017.  She was born February 1, 1935 in Ben Arnold, TX to Charlie and Vlasta Hrachovy.

She was a cafeteria worker for years at Brazoria Elementary School. She also worked at Texas Instrument as an assembly worker in Stafford.  She was a breast cancer survivor. She was a loving and kindhearted person who never met a stranger. She had a loving passion to care for the elderly, sitting and visiting with them. She loved to crochet and play bingo.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; Charlie and Vlasta Hrachovy; husband, Albert Ondreas; brother, Charlie Hrachovy, Jr.; sister, Margie Ondreas; close friends, Hazel Jeffries and Eulalie Crasland.

She is survived by her brother, Frank Hrachovy and wife Virginia of Austin, William “Bill” Hrachovy and wife Bertha of Cameron and Rudolph “Rudy” Hrachovy and wife Bernice of Temple; sister, Vlasta Vitek and husband Gilbert of Austin; brothers-in-law, Joe Ondreas of Brazoria and Andrew Ondreas and wife Vernell of Sweeny; sister-in-law, Vallie Mae Hrachovy of Temple and a host of nephews, nieces, close friends, Iris, Donna, Blanca and Janie, other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Kenneth Ondreas, Robert Ondreas, Danny Ondreas, Keith Hrachovy, Scott Hrachovy and David Fanning.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria with Rev. Troy  Coldwater officiating.  Burial will follow at Brazoria Cemetery in Brazoria, TX.

Visitation will be Monday, October 16, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria.
