Funeral services for Jessie Mae Anderson, 64, of Sweeny will be Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Greater Mount Zion Church in Brazoria, TX with Elder Roland K. Hendricks, officiating. Burial will follow at Angleton Cemetery in Angleton, TX.
She passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin, TX.
Jessie was a member of Greater Mt. Zion Church where she served on the Usher Board and helped prepared the Lord’s Supper. She enjoyed traveling, singing and spending time with her family, especially her great grandchild, Jesslynn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Azalea and Ned Taylor, Sr.; son, Norman Anderson; brothers, Ned Taylor Jr. and Donald Lee Taylor; sisters, Juanita Taylor and Gloria Irvin.
She is survived by her loving husband of over 40 years, Jeorge David Anderson I of Sweeny; son Jeorge David Anderson II of Manvel; daughters, Tiffany Anderson of Phugerville, TX, Verzalea Grace Anderson, of Manvel; sisters, Audria Jean Price and Florence Viola Taylor both of Austin; grandchildren, Triana Rhea Anderson and Terrence Ramon Anderson-Yeck; great grandchild, Jesslynn Michelle Anderson; brothers-in-law, Adam Anderson Jr. (Peggy), Willie Joseph Anderson (Debra) both of Houston, Patrick Anderson of Louisiana; sister-in-law, Frances Anderson and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Ronald Guillory, Donald Morgan, Jason Morgan, Damon Mathis, James Wright, Troy Davidson and Patrick Anderson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jeorge David Anderson I, Jeorge David Anderson II, Terrence Anderson-Yeck and Anthony Price, Shedrick Johnson and Dwazine Bess.
Visitation will be Friday, July 14, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria. A viewing will be at the church on Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. There will be no viewing afterwards.
