Funeral service for Harry Moley Brown, Sr., 74 of Bay City will be Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Christian Church in Cedar Lake with Rev. Kenneth Bree officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Cedar Lake, Texas.

He died Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Matagorda Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bay City, Texas. Harry accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Bethlehem Christian Church. He attended public school in the Cedar Lake School, Cedar Lake, TX and O.H. Herman High School in Van Vleck, TX. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing dominoes. He also enjoyed spending quality time with his family at family gatherings.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Shakespeare and Lucy Brown; sisters; Alzenia Brown, Angeline Edison, Cora Sibley, Victoria Brown, Flora Hunt and Lola Bryant and brothers; Shakespeare Brown, Jr. (Buddy) and Gifford Brown.

He is survived by his Wife: Johnnie S. Brown, Children: Harry Brown, Jr. (Demitra), Michael Brown, Lawrence Brown, Maurice Brown , Leanor (Tina) Brown, Jean Morgan (Charles), Felecia Whitaker (Morgan), Clifton Johnson and Michael Parks, step-son; Lawrence Johnson, Jr. (Shelia), Brother, Hosea Brown (Patricia); Sisters, Cleopatra Thomas (Charles), Luberta Brown, Lydia Dailey and Lucy Tyson (Edward). A Special Friend: Joyice. He also leaves a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Roy Brown, Charles R. Thomas, Wayne Dailey, Terrence Brown, Martin Dailey and Phelp Brown.

Honorary pallbearers will be nephews and great nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, August 10, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria. There will be viewing at the church on Saturday, August 11, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. only. There will be no viewing afterward.
