Funeral Services for Deacon Daniel Williams, 78, of Brazoria will be Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in Brazoria with Pastor Booker T. Randon, officiating. Burial will follow at Mims Cemetery in Brazoria.

He passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Sweeny Community Hospital.

Deacon Williams was a faithful member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church where he served as Assistant Chairman of the Deacon Board and Intercessor Prayer Warrior. He loved fishing and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hammie and Lillie Williams, Sr.; son, Stanley Williams; 6 brothers, Joseph, George, Douglas, Virgil, Hammie, Jr. and Odell Williams; 4 sisters, Alice Edwards, Ruth Hawkins, Zelma Hobbs and Alnice Alford; sister-in-law, Rebecca Johnson.

He is survived by his devoted wife of over 50 years, Jimmie Lee Williams, Brazoria; son, Wayne Williams (Lenor), Angleton; 2 daughters, Shelia Wright (Richard), Brazoria, Jimmietta "Peebles" Williams, Sweeny; brother, Isaac Williams (Geneva), Brazoria; 3 sisters, Lillie Edwards, Freeport, Lucille Williams, Carolinas, Julia Helm (Ervin), Brazoria; 2 sister-in-laws, Ella Mae Bolden, Needville, Beatrice Norris, Houston; good friend and special nephew, Robert L. Bonner (Ernestine), Brazoria; 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Active Pallbearers will be Thomas Wright, Robert L. Bonner, John Goodwin, Marvin Edwards, William Harriest and Randolph Mack.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Wright Jr., Quinn Wright, Bradley Murphy, Richard Wright Sr. and Wayne Williams.

Visitation will be Friday, February 17, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria. Visitation will also be on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church. There will be no viewing afterwards.
