There are two types of cremation. The first is known as a "Direct Cremation"
whereby the funeral director picks up the deceased and takes them to the crematory
to be cremated in an alternative container. No ceremony is performed. The ashes
are returned to the next of kin. They can be scattered or placed in an urn or
keepsake. A memorial service may be held at any time and any place to memorialize
the deceased.
The other type of cremation is where the same events take place as if you were
having a traditional funeral service. The only difference is at the end of the
service, the deceased is taken to a crematory instead of the cemetery.
- Traditional funeral services with viewing prior to cremation.
- Direct cremation service package with memorial service and visitation.
- Direct cremation without a ceremony.
An urn is a traditional way to commemorate and honor a loved one as part of
a cremation ceremony. We offer a selection of affordable urns.
